Orders
Can I change or cancel my order?
Email [info@playfulaccessories.com] as soon as possible with your order number. We will try to help, but we cannot guarantee changes after an order has entered processing or been dispatched.
I did not receive an order confirmation. What should I do?
Check your junk or spam folder first. If you still cannot find it, email us with the name and email address used at checkout.
Can I use more than one discount code?
Only [1] discount code may be used per order unless we state otherwise.
Can I add a gift note?
If gift notes are available, you can add one at checkout. We do not include prices in gift notes, although prices or values may need to appear on customs paperwork for international orders.
Can I buy Playful Accessories as a gift?
Yes. Product pages and our gift edit can help you choose starter pieces, bold colour pieces and complete-the-set combinations. Please check the return restrictions before purchasing pierced jewellery, hair accessories, personalised items or made-to-order pieces as gifts.
Will you restock sold-out pieces?
Some pieces may be restocked and some may be limited-run. Use any restock notification tool shown on the product page, or contact [info@playfulaccessories.com] if you are looking for a specific colour, size or collection.
Products and how Playful Accessories works
What is Playful Accessories?
Playful Accessories is a wearable-object brand exploring the space between jewellery, soft sculpture and play. Our pieces are designed to be touched, worn, mixed and re-styled.
What types of products do you make?
We currently focus on tactile accessories including rings, earrings, necklaces, chains, hair accessories and selected wearable objects. Product pages explain the exact product type, materials, size and how to wear each piece.
What does Mix & Match mean?
Some pieces are designed to be combined, layered or styled with other forms from the Playful Accessories world. Where a piece is modular, detachable or designed to work with other pieces, the product page will explain how it works.
Are the pieces toys?
No. Our pieces are wearable fashion/accessory objects, not children's toys. They may contain small, detachable or sculptural parts and should be kept away from babies, young children and pets.
Materials, safety and care
What are the pieces made from?
Our pieces explore tactile, sculptural materials, including silicone/rubber-style forms and jewellery or accessory components where relevant. The exact material for each item should be stated on the product page. Please review the product page before ordering, especially if you have sensitive skin or allergies.
Are the pieces hypoallergenic, nickel-free, latex-free or medical-grade?
Not unless the product page expressly says so. We do not claim that any product is hypoallergenic, medical-grade, nickel-free, latex-free, non-toxic, waterproof, sustainable, recycled or recyclable unless that claim is expressly stated on the relevant product page and supported by supplier or testing information.
What if I have sensitive skin or allergies?
If you have a known allergy or sensitivity to silicone, rubber, latex, resin, metals, plating, nickel, adhesives, dyes, coatings or any other material, contact us before ordering.
How should I care for my piece?
Store pieces separately, away from direct sunlight, heat, water, moisture, perfume, oils, cosmetics, cleaning products and sharp objects. Wipe gently with a soft dry cloth unless the product page gives different cleaning instructions. See Materials & Care for more detail.
Are pieces one size?
Product pages show sizing, measurements and fit notes where available. Some pieces may be adjustable; others may have fixed sizing. If you are unsure, email [info@playfulaccessories.com] before ordering.
Delivery
Where do you ship?
We usually ship to [the countries and regions shown in the website country/region selector at checkout], which currently includes the United Kingdom and selected international destinations. Available destinations may change.
How much is UK delivery?
UK standard delivery is [£3.95] and free over [£100]. UK express delivery is [£5.95]. UK next-working-day delivery is [£8.95] where available.
How much is international delivery?
International delivery starts from [£12.95] for Europe and from [£19.95] for USA, Canada unless checkout states otherwise.
When will my order dispatch?
In-stock items usually dispatch within [1-3 working days]. Orders placed after [12:00 noon] UK time, at weekends or on UK bank holidays are treated as received on the next working day. Pre-order, made-to-order, customised or collaboration items may take longer.
Is delivery guaranteed?
Delivery timings are estimates only unless the checkout expressly describes a delivery service as guaranteed.
How do I track my order?
We will email tracking details after dispatch where tracking is available. Tracking can take up to [24 hours] to update.
Who pays customs duties and taxes?
Unless checkout clearly states otherwise, international import duties, taxes, customs charges and local handling fees are the customer's responsibility.
Returns and refunds
How do I return an item?
Email [info@playfulaccessories.com] with your order number and item details. We will confirm whether the item is eligible and provide return instructions. Please do not send returns back before receiving instructions.
How long do I have to cancel an online order?
For most UK online orders, you normally have [14 days] from the day after delivery to tell us you want to cancel, then a further [14 days] to send the item back.
Do you use a returns portal?
No. We use direct email returns as standard.
Do I pay for return postage?
Yes, for standard change-of-mind returns. We pay or reimburse reasonable return postage only where the item is faulty, damaged on arrival, not as described or we made an error.
Can I exchange an item?
We do not offer direct exchanges as standard. Please return the eligible item for a refund and place a new order.
Can I return earrings?
Pierced earrings, earring posts, hooks, backs, drops, charms or components intended to go through, sit in or come into direct contact with a piercing cannot be returned once the hygiene seal or protective packaging has been opened, or once the item has been tried on, worn or used, unless faulty.
Can I return hair accessories?
Hair clips, hair pins, hair ties, hair combs, headbands and other hair accessories cannot be returned once the hygiene seal or protective packaging has been opened, or once the item has been tried on, worn or used, unless faulty.
Can I return personalised or made-to-order pieces?
Personalised, customised, engraved, bespoke and made-to-order items cannot usually be returned unless faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described.
Can I return sale, archive or sample-sale items?
Only where the item is eligible under our legal cancellation/returns position. We will not use “final sale” wording to remove statutory online cancellation rights unless a legal exception applies, such as a personalised/custom-made item or an unsealed hygiene-sensitive item.
When will I receive my refund?
We aim to inspect returns and submit approved refunds within [5 working days] after receiving the returned item. For legal cancellation returns, refunds will be made no later than [14 days] after we receive the returned item or evidence that it has been sent back, where applicable. Your bank or payment provider may need additional time.
Payments and account
Which payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay and UnionPay, where shown at checkout.
Is my payment secure?
Payments are processed by secure third-party payment providers. We do not store full card details.
Do I need an account to order?
You can use guest checkout if it is available on the website. If accounts are enabled, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure.

I bought from a stockist. Can I return it to Playful Accessories?
Please contact the stockist or seller where you purchased the item. Their own returns policy will apply.
