Our pieces are tactile accessories and wearable objects. They are designed to be worn, touched, styled and stored with care.
Product materials
Each product page should state the main materials and components for that item. Our pieces may include tactile silicone/rubber-style forms, metal accessory components, chains, fastenings, findings, cords, clips or other materials depending on the design.
Please read the product page carefully before ordering. If a product page does not state a material you need to check, email info@playfulaccessories.com before purchasing.
Allergy and safety claims
Unless expressly stated on the relevant product page and supported by appropriate supplier, testing or certification information, we do not claim that any product or packaging is:
● hypoallergenic;
● medical-grade;
● nickel-free;
● waterproof;
● latex-free;
● non-toxic;
● sustainable;
● recycled; or
● recyclable.
If you have a known allergy or sensitivity to silicone, rubber, latex, resin, metals, plating, nickel, adhesives, dyes, coatings, cosmetics, cleaning products or any other material, please contact us before ordering.
How to wear
Our pieces are wearable fashion/accessory objects, not children's toys, medical devices or protective equipment.
Use the product only as described on the product page. Do not overstretch, force, cut, pierce, burn, heat, chew or modify our pieces. Keep small, detachable or sculptural parts away from babies, young children and pets.
General care
Unless the product page states otherwise:
● store pieces separately in their pouch, box or a dry jewellery/accessory tray;
● keep away from direct sunlight, heat, damp and humidity;
● avoid water, swimming, showering, steam and prolonged moisture;
● avoid perfume, oils, lotions, cosmetics, hair products, cleaning products and alcohol-based sprays;
● avoid sharp objects, rough surfaces and heavy pressure;
● wipe gently with a soft dry cloth after wear; and
● do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cloths, ultrasonic cleaners or jewellery dips.
Silicone/rubber-style tactile pieces
Where a piece includes silicone/rubber-style forms, avoid sharp edges, pulling, twisting beyond the intended movement, high heat, direct sunlight, oils, dark dyes and rough storage. Some surface variation, moulding detail or colour variation may be part of the product character unless materially different from the product description.
Metal components, chains and findings
Where a piece includes metal components, chains, findings, posts, hooks or clips, keep them dry and away from perfume, sweat, cosmetics and cleaning products. Plated or coated components may naturally change with wear. Store separately to reduce scratching and tangling.
Earrings and earring components
Pierced earrings, earring posts, hooks, backs, drops, charms or components intended to go through, sit in or come into direct contact with a piercing are hygiene-sensitive.
Please check the product visually before opening any hygiene seal or protective packaging. Once the hygiene seal or protective packaging has been opened, or once the item has been tried on, worn or used, the item cannot be returned for change of mind unless faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described.
Do not wear earrings or piercing-related components if your piercing is irritated, inflamed, healing or infected. Remove the item if you notice discomfort or irritation.
Hair accessories
Hair clips, hair pins, hair ties, hair combs, headbands and other hair accessories are hygiene-sensitive. Please check the item visually before opening any hygiene seal or protective packaging. Once the hygiene seal or protective packaging has been opened, or once the item has been tried on, worn or used, the item cannot be returned for change of mind unless faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described.
Avoid using hair accessories with wet hair, heavy oils, strong styling products or excessive force unless the product page states that the item is suitable for that use.
Cleaning
Use a clean, soft, dry cloth unless the product page gives different instructions. If a product page permits damp cleaning, use only a lightly damp cloth and dry the item immediately. Do not soak our pieces.
Repairs and aftercare
If your piece is damaged, email info@playfulaccessories.com with your order number, photographs and a short description of the issue. We will confirm whether repair support is available. Repair availability depends on the product, materials, age, condition and whether spare components are available.
Faults
Nothing on this page affects your statutory rights. If an item is faulty, damaged on arrival or not as described, contact info@playfulaccessories.com as soon as possible with your order number and photos.
